E.ON Bulgaria, a 100% -subsidiary of E.ON Energie AG, has been on the Bulgarian market since beginning of 2005 owning 59% of the two regional electricity distribution companies Varna and Gorna Oryahovitsa. The two companies supply over 1.1 million customers in North-Eastern Bulgaria with electricity, their sales volumes amount to more than 4.9 TWh and as a result, they hold a market share of about 25%.
